Two positive days of testing at the Circuit de Barcelona.

After two official tests held in Jerez and Barcelona, the young driver heads to Italy with optimism, clearer ideas and a determined work plan to do.

Pepe Martí and Campos Racing managed to do a great job at the Barcelona test, home track for the Catalan driver, where they were working on tyre wear and finding a better adaptation to them.

"The tests have helped us a lot to understand things better and to know where we need to improve and in which direction to work. But especially in Barcelona, we made a step forward and I hope that this weekend will be reflected in the race. We come to Imola looking forward to learning a new track and scoring points".

The FIA 2022 Official Tests came to an end on 16 and 17 April at the Circuit de Barcelona. The test calendar of the small category had three appointments; the first one in Bahrain before the start of the championship and four more during this month of April, between Jerez and Barcelona. As a result, the drivers will now only have 45 minutes of free practice on each race weekend to prepare for qualifying and the races.

Pepe Martí and Campos Racing did a great job at the Barcelona test, home track for the Catalan driver, where they were working on tyre wear and finding a better adaptation to the tyres.

Martí, who unlike most drivers feels better on worn tyres than on new ones, managed to improve and find what he needs to learn for the upcoming events.

"The tests have helped us a lot to understand things better and to know where we need to improve and in which direction to work. But especially in Barcelona, we made a step forward and I hope that this weekend will be reflected in the race. We have been working a lot on tyre wear, which is difficult for me with new tyres and that's why it's more complicated in qualifying and the result was very positive. I am understanding how to manage it and it was clear that I needed to ride and ride. Now we face the season without any official test in between and it will be important to be focused and to apply everything we have been seeing these days. We arrive at Imola eager to learn a new track and score points", said Martí.
